Social Services

The following support services are available to students and families at Oceanside High School.  The first list includes services provided on-site, while the second list includes available outside resources.

OHS Counselor Facilitated Weekly Support Groups: Grief & Loss, General Issues, Girls' Issues


North County Lifeline Support Groups: Self-Esteem, Decision Making, Conflict Management, Drug Diversion


Interfaith Community Services: Vocational and behavioral case management for students enrolled in OHS Health Careers Academy and OHS Academy of Justice.  


Palomar Family Counseling: Individual counseling services for students/families with Medi-Cal


PASS AmeriCorps (Promoting Acheivement & Student Success): Leadership training and support, with a focus on attendance, grades and behavior, provided by mentors from Americorps


Building Capacity in Military-Connected Schools: Individual and group counseling provided by interns from the University of Southern California Masters in Social Work program, for students from military families 


AWARE: A district program for students at-risk for gang involvement


North County Lifeline Referral Services:

Community Assessment Team (CAT) - Prevention services for teens with 1-2 suspensions, minor behavioral problems, or on SARB contract

Alternative Court Treatment (ACT) - Intervention for teens with multiple suspensions, at risk of expulsion, or recently arrested


Interfaith Community Referral Services:

Transitional Youth Academy (TYA) - Mentoring, support, life skills training, and gang prevention/intervention services for at-risk youth


Oceanside Police Department:

School Attendance Review Board (SARB) -  The OUSD Student Services Department, in conjunction with OPD, provides intervention services for students with excessive absences, in an effort to dirvert students from the juvenile courst system.
