School Site Council

Get Involved:

Both the Parent Involvement Policy and School-Parent Compact are developed with parent and community input from School Site Council and ELAC (English Learner Advisory Committee). Collaboration between Oceanside High School, parents, and the community is an ongoing process that occurs year round.

If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact the main office 760-901-8200.

Parent Involvement Policy

Oceanside High School has developed a written Title I parental involvement policy with input from Title I parents.  This parental involvement policy was discussed and developed during School Site Council, Title I Parent Meeting, and ELAC. Oceanside High School has distributed the policy to parents of Title I students. During 2017-2018, this was distributed through the student’s period 3 class. The policy describes the means for carrying out the following Title I parental involvement requirements [20 USC 6318 Section 1118(a)-(f) inclusive].

School-Parent Compact

The School-Parent Compact is an agreement the parents, students, and school staff at Oceanside High School develop together.  It explains how parents and teachers work as partners to make sure all students meet or exceed the Common Core State Standards.  The parents, students, and Oceanside High School staff meet yearly to discuss student learning needs based on current grade-level data and make revisions to the compact. Parents are welcome to contribute comments at any time.
