Stand As One

In the fall of 2020, OHS Coaches launched into expanding their already strong professional development by adding Equity and Awareness Initiative. We are grounded in, "Are the bonds that divide us, as strong as those that unite us?"

Coaches at Oceanside High School have tremendous interaction opportunities with our student-athletes on and off the competitive fields and courts. It is our responsibility as a school and athletic department to facilitate frank and honest conversations about equity and social awareness. These conversations are an open forum for us to discuss the current events that are shaping our country, as well as the young minds of our student-athletes. We, as coaches, need to educate ourselves through dialogue, guest speakers, and outside speakers to prepare all stakeholders for what we are dealing with today and for the future beyond Oceanside High School.
