MCJROTC Cadets From El Camino and Oceanside High Celebrate
10 November 1775, the Marine Corps was established in Philadelphia, PA. The long storied history of the Marine Corps, it's values and service to the nation is celebrated each year on this day. The MCJROTC cadets from OUSD continued this tradition in a ceremony Saturday night. These students displayed with distinction their patriotism and citizenship in front of their parents, friends and fellow students. The cadets were honored to host OUSD Board Members Emily Ortiz Wichmann and Dr. Adrianne Hakes along with Superintendent Larry Perrondi and the Principals from ECHS - Mr. Bob Rowe and OHS - Dr. Chris Hurst. The ceremony was followed by a Pot Luck and dance for the students. The MCJROTC instructors want to thank the Board, our Superintendent and administrators but most importantly the parents whose support of MCJROTC made this such a special event. Your students were magnificent!
