Oceanside High School honored the Girard Foundation’s Girard PREP Scholars at the 11^th annual “Celebration of Success.” Our guest speaker for the evening was Dr. Lorena Mesa, Associate Vice President for Student Academic Support Services at California State University, San Marcos. The 193 Girard Scholars were recognized for their academic success by Girard Foundation Board Member Bob Schroeder, OUSD Board Members Dr. Adrianne Hakes, and Lillian Adams, OUSD Superintendent Larry Perondi, Principal Dr. Chris Hurst, OHS Counselors, family and friends. We thank the Girard Foundation for their continued support of the Girard PREP Program, and the important role it plays in creating a “college-going culture” at Oceanside High School.
