All Pirates Pass!

All Pirates Pass (APP) includes three mandatory extended day programs designed to give students the help they need to graduate from Oceanside High with grades strong enough to qualify them for college admission.

Mandatory Tutoring:  Students who score a D or an F on their last exam in English 9, English 10, Algebra I, Geomtery or Biology, are required to attend tutoring on Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 3:45 PM, for about three weeks.

  • Tutoring focuses on reteaching the skills and knowledge students were weak on when they took the exam.
  • Students who attend tutoring also retake the exam with the opportunity to replace the D or F from their first attempt, with the higher grade from the retake exam.

Credit Recovery:  This program provides students the opportunity to retake a class they need to become eligible for graduation or college admission.

Lifeline Group Counseling:  Lifeline Community Services provides several types of group counseling as a support for OHS students.  For information on the Lifeline's group counseling, please contact your child's school counselor.
