Outstanding Teachers of America Award for OHS Instructor

Stephanie F.JPGStephanie Farquhar, an AVID instructor at Oceanside High School, has been named one of five winners in California of the Outstanding Teachers of America Award.  The award is presented by the Carlston Family Foundation, an education-based, non-profit organization focused on teacher acknowledgment and support.

Award winners are based on recommendations provided by former students who have overcome great odds to achieve academic success.  Stephanie will receive a $15,000 award and OHS will receive a $5,000 grant.  She has taught in the district and at OHS since 2001.
