OHS Soundwaves Show Choir participated in a music festival on Saturday 5.18.13 and were awarded an overall "Excellent" for their performance. They represented our school and our community so well. 
A special congratulations to Kathryn Grace Tamondong, who was awarded a medal for "Top Solo Vocalist." There were 16 other choirs at the festival, and she was chosen overall. AMAZING!!!
Major League baseball player Nick Hundley and professional soccer player Chiky Luna will serve as the two main guest speakers for the OUSD Men’s Conference Saturday, June 1 at El Camino High School. The free event aims to inspire fathers and young men to step up their involvement in the educational process and their positions as role models in their homes and in the community.
A sincere congratulations to Will Tate, winner Simon Scholar of the Year and winner of the Gates Millenium Scholarship. The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program selects 1,000 talented students each year to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice. Gates Millennium Scholars are provided with personal and professional development through leadership programs along with academic support throughout their college career.
